Joel Dommett was missing in action on Tuesday's I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp because he was a bit busy getting stitches in his head at the time!

The presenter was involved in an on-set mishap during final rehearsals for the nightly I'm a Celebrity post-show, and was rushed to a nearby hospital while co-presenters Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash carried on without him.

Joel proved his bravery by actually snapping a selfie while having stitches putting into his head, in order to explain to fans why he was missing from Tuesday's episode.

"Unfortunately due to unforeseen windy circumstances blowing the set onto my head during rehearsals, I won't be able to present Extra Camp this evening," he joked.

"I had seven stitches like a big brave boy and I'll be back tomorrow. To be honest I'm less worried about my health and more worried that the show will be better without me.

"Half a day off school to go home and watch Neighbours! Woo! GOOD LUCK @scarlettmoffatt and @realjoeswashy"

Scarlett and Joe did hold down basecamp, chatting with guests Andi Peters and Megan McKenna about the fallout of Anne Hegerty's Bushtucker trial and Nick Knowles's surprising bromance with rockers Biffy Clyro.

At the end of the show, Scarlett sent well-wishes out to Joel on behalf of all of the I'm a Celebrity team and seemed confident that he'd be back on the panel on Wednesday (November 21).

"Feel better soon mate," Scarlett told him.

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! continues on Wednesday (November 21) at 9pm on ITV, followed immediately thereafter by Extra Camp on ITV2.
