John Bishop supported as he makes career plea

John Bishop has shared an exciting announcement with his social media followers. The comedian has launched his new podcast 'The Bishop Exchange'.

Uploading a video to Instagram earlier this week, John said: "I said I had an announcement and this is that announcement. Are you ready? Like a million other people I've started a new podcast. What's different is, I think it's going to be good."

John started the podcast this week with an episode featuring fellow comedian, Des Bishop. The podcast will be released every week and the 58-year-old urged listeners to "send through any ideas or questions."

In the caption, John revealed he was excited to launch the new podcast and it will be available on his YouTube channel and any other services where podcasts are found.

Fans of the star shared their happiness about the news. One fan said: "What’s not to love? !!!" and "sounds good john" with clapping hand emojis. More pleased fans added "Nice one… look forward to the listen" and "Great news! Can’t wait to listen."

Last weekend, John shared a rare glimpse into his personal life with his wife Melanie. The two have been married since 1993 and have three sons together, Joe, Daniel and Luke.

The dad-of-three shared some holiday snaps to his Instagram account. Stunning blue waters and breathtaking mountain views created the perfect backdrop for the pictures uploaded with his wife.

John wrote a heartfelt message, praising Melanie and appreciating their marriage. He said: "When you are into your fourth decade with someone and life means that you spend big chunks of time apart, it is sometimes difficult to find the time and place to reconnect properly.

Spending the last two weeks in a unique hotel that had no tv, no fourth wall and not even a lift despite it being over 500 steps to the beach has been exactly what I and @melbish1 needed."

The 58-year-old says he and Melanie are "lucky" to be able to travel and they are "blessed" to keep finding each other when they look. He said "still the one", as fans sent messages of love and support following the personal update.
