Comedian John Bishop has announced he will move his standup show on Sunday because he wants to watch England play in the Euro 2024 final.

England beat the Netherlands this evening 2-1 in the Euros semi-final in Dortmund. They will play Spain in the final on Sunday, July 14 in Berlin. It will be England's second consecutive Euros final.

John, who was born in Everton but brought up in Runcorn, used to be a semi-professional footballer, playing for Crewe Alexandra and Southport.

He was due to perform a gig at the University of Wolverhampton on Sunday evening. However, in an Instagram video, he announced he would be moving the time of the gig to Sunday afternoon so he can watch England in action.

John has promised that anyone who is unable to attend in the afternoon will be reimbursed.

He said: "To all the people coming to Wolverhampton on Sunday. I'm not doing the show at 8pm. The show's gonna get moved to the afternoon. You're all gonna get an email in the morning telling you the time.

"I know it won't suit everybody, so anyone who can't make it we'll give you a refund. But we're definitely gonna move the time to Sunday afternoon cause there's no chance I'm gonna be doing it at 8pm cause I'm gonna be busy watching these boys."
