Former Aston Villa captain John Terry has predicted the club will end the campaign in the Premier League's top four, as well as backing Ollie Watkins for the Golden Boot award.

With four matches remaining, Villa occupy a commanding position in the race for the last Champions League qualification place. They sit fourth on 66 points, owning a goal difference of 21.

Following that up, Tottenham Hotspur are on 60 points with a inferior goal difference of 16, though possess two games in hand during the run-in. Newcastle United and Manchester United then trail by a further 10 points having also played 32 matches.

As he was recently inducted into the top-flight's Hall of Fame, Terry found himself in control of the league's official TikTok account, and with that power was tasked with completing a blind ranking of the top four, then the league's top scorer. This means once a team was selected, he was not allowed to alter the order, even if a better option appeared later on.

"Straight in number one, for me" were Manchester City. After a brief pause for thought he then placed current leaders Arsenal third, whilst Liverpool were put runners-up for the title.

Spurs had appeared as an option, however Terry's instant reaction was to use one of three skips available to him via the game. Ange Postecoglou's team then appeared again, so he pressed the button again - evidently not confident in their chances.

The final team to pop up was Manchester United. Saving a final skip option for the Golden Boot winner, he placed them fourth with a sigh of disappointment and concluded: "I'm happy with the top three. I think Villa for fourth."

Spurs' Heung-Min Son then appeared as the option for top scorer award, prompting a final skip. When Watkins then arrived, Terry added in delight: "I'll take Ollie Watkins all day long. Top player."

Villa's No.11 has 19 goals for the league season at present, which is one behind joint-top scorers Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer. He also leads the way for the Playmaker of the Season award, having notched 12 assists to date.
