Yahoo News John Wick 5 gets update from franchise producer
John Wick producer Basil Iwanyk has provided an update on a potential fifth film in the franchise.
A follow-up instalment to Chapter Four has been mooted for months now, despite the titular character seemingly meeting his end in a duel in Paris.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Iwanyk talked about the acclaimed fourth entry in the action franchise, teasing that the indestructible hero could return to wreak more havoc on the criminal underworld.

“What I love about the end of John Wick 4 is, if this means that there's never another John Wick movie, it's a nice elegant way of ending it,” he said. “If there is another John Wick movie… I do feel like it will be a completely [different] book.
“If these movies were four chapters, you kind of blame it on the metaphor. The next John Wick will be another book. It won't be like six months from John Wick 4. We just don't know what that is. But we all love spending time together, and we love the process.
“The more time that goes by, the more we miss it. As demented as it sounds, [even though] these movies are really hard to pull off, there's something really exciting about making [them]. I don't even mean talking to you [or] the box office. I mean mounting, preparing [and] casting - it's fun as shit.”

Whilst John Wick 5 might be a while away, fans of the franchise have plenty of neon-lit action to sink their teeth into, with spin-off series The Continental focusing on the exploits of a young Winston Scott in the 1970s.
In addition to the three-part prequel, Ana de Armas will lead Ballerina, a spin-off set between the second and third instalments in the franchise. The film, which is being directed by Len Wiseman, sees Keanu Reeves reprise his role as Wick.
The John Wick movies are available to buy or rent on Prime Video, plus DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD.
