The annual Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Walk is set to return to Cassiobury Park in September.

The charity walk will take place on Saturday, September 7, where thousands are expected to participate in multiple locations across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, marching towards the ambitious goal of a dementia-free future.

The Alzheimer's Society said: "Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer, with one in three people born in the UK today developing the condition."

The event raises both awareness and funding for dementia support and research, allowing the charity to continue providing lifesaving assistance to around one million people living with dementia in the UK.

Participants are encouraged to take part for their loved ones, those they've lost, and everyone grappling with the consequences of dementia.

Walks range from two to 10km routes, with no registration fee required.

They are open to all who wish to make their steps count, from best friends to furry companions.

Individuals unable to attend can conduct their Memory Walks whenever and wherever they prefer.

The Alzheimer's Society, which is the UK's leading dementia charity, aims to stand as a beacon of hope and help for those affected by dementia - past, present, and future.
