Jon Bon Jovi Doesn’t Know If He’ll Tour After Vocal Cord Surgery: “I’m Just Still Recovering”
Jon Bon Jovi shared that he’s not sure whether he will be able to tour again after undergoing vocal cord surgery a few years ago.
The legendary singer recently explained in an interview with Mix 104.1 Boston that he’s still recovering and unable to confirm if he’ll go on a tour for his band’s upcoming album Forever.

“I don’t know about a tour,” he admitted. “It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery.”
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer previously shared that he had undergone a procedure in 2022 after one of his vocal cords was “atrophying” — with one being “thick as the thumb” and the other vocal cord being “thick as a pinky.” At the time, he added that his “craft was being taken from me.”
“Although I’m well on the road to recovery and was able to take my time and do a song a day when I made the record, my need, want, desire is to be able to do two-and-a-half hours a night four nights a week for months on end,” Bon Jovi told the radio station. “And so I’m working towards that goal.”
Earlier this week, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers — who are celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band — announced their 16th studio album, Forever, due out June 7. They also released the first single off the record called “Legendary.”
Bon Jovi wrote on Instagram on Friday celebrating the new album, “Been waiting for this moment.”
