Joshua Jackson to Star in ABC Drama Doctor Odyssey From Ryan Murphy
Joshua Jackson is scrubbing back in for his next TV role: The Dr. Death alum will star in the ABC drama Doctor Odyssey, co-created by Ryan Murphy, the network announced on Wednesday.
No plot or character details have been officially released yet, but our sister site Deadline reports that Doctor Odyssey — which has received a straight-to-series order from ABC and is slated to debut this fall — is a medical drama set aboard a cruise ship, with Jackson playing the title character “whose charms help him get what he wants.” (Jackson will serve as an executive producer as well.)

Murphy will write the series along with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, who recently collaborated with Murphy on FX’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans. Paris Barclay, another veteran of Murphy productions such as American Horror Story and The Watcher, will direct the pilot.
Jackson recently played disgraced neurosurgeon Christopher Duntsch in Season 1 of the Peacock docudrama Dr. Death. He first rose to fame as teen Pacey on The WB’s Dawson’s Creek. His other TV credits include Fringe, The Affair and Fatal Attraction.
