Judge tells Alex Murdaugh murdered son and wife will ‘visit him at night’

Alex Murdaugh was told by the judge that his wife and son will “come and visit” him every night as he tries to sleep.

The remark came as judge Clifton Newman sentenced the disgraced attorney to life behind bars for the murder of Maggie and Paul.

Jurors came to a unanimous verdict after less than three hours of deliberations at the South Carolina courthouse.

Murdaugh maintained his claim that he is innocent of gunning down his wife and son at their 1,700-acre Moselle hunting estate.
