Julia Louis-Dreyfus Calls Late Night With Seth Meyers ‘the Stupidest Show I’ve Ever Done’ in New Day Drinking Clip — Watch

Ever want to go day drinking with living comedy legend Julia Louis-Dreyfus? Now you can live vicariously through Seth Meyers thanks to a brand-new video from Late Night.

Following in the tradition of Meyers’ boozy day hangs with stars like Lizzo, Kristen Stewart and Will Forte, it didn’t take long for Veep‘s Louis-Dreyfus (who was promoting her new film Tuesday) to declare that the show was “a terrible idea.” Meyers promptly chugged their very first cocktail: a Julia Louis-Dry Martini. “Are you out of your mind?” she asked — the first of many, many questions she had throughout the 16-minute video.

In honor of her HBO hit “that never took off,” Meyers mixed up some vice-presidential drinks in her honor. Unfortunately for Louis-Dreyfus, the first included chocolate gold coins and Goldschläger, a beverage she called “revolting.” And that was before he broke out the Werther’s Originals!

After reminiscing about “simple times” when “our vice presidents just shot people in the face,” the duo played a game where Meyers quizzed his guest about three-named celebrities. Louis-Dreyfus failed to guess Sarah Jessica Parker and Haley Joel Osment, but somehow nailed serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

Later in the video, Meyers honored her film Enough Said with a Truth or Dare game, as Louis-Dreyfus revealed who her favorite Weekend Update host was and who she’d call if she wound up in prison, Jerry Seinfeld or Larry David. The Late Night host ripped shots after almost every answer and ultimately found himself finishing the shoot on the floor. (Maybe he had to drink his sorrows away after losing his house band to budget cuts?)
