Julia Roberts Shares Sweet Anniversary Tribute to Husband Danny Moder: ‘Twenty Two Years'

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on July 4, 2002

Julia Roberts is toasting love.

On the Fourth of July, the actress, 56, marked 22 years of marriage with her husband Danny Moder via a sweet Instagram post.

“🤵‍♂️ 👰‍♀️ 💃🏼 🕺🏽 🥳 🇺🇸 TWENTY TWO YEARS. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️,” Roberts captioned the tribute, which featured a throwback photo of the couple embracing one another and sharing a passionate kiss.

In the shot, the Leave the World Behind star wore a strappy black dress, while her cinematographer husband, 55, was dressed in a black suit, striped shirt and patterned tie.

The couple married in a private ceremony on July 4, 2002, with guests merely invited to “celebrate Independence Day,” ahead of the secret ceremony.

They tied the knot two years after meeting on the set of the 2001 film The Mexican. Since then the couple has become parents to twins Phinneas and Hazel, 19, and son Henry, 17.

In December 2023, the Oscar winner gushed about her husband during an appearance on the Today show and called him the "anchor" of their family.

"It all starts with Danny Moder,” she said. “He is our person and, in the most beautiful way, the captain of our ship."

“For me, understanding how deeply felt life could be,” she added, “really started with him.”

Last year, Roberts also marked the duo’s 21st wedding anniversary with a kiss.

Alongside a photo of the pair passionately kissing on Instagram, the Pretty Woman star wrote, “💥21💥,” before adding hashtags to show her love for her other half: “#truelove #fromhereonout #heckyeah.”

Valentine’s Day 2024 was also sealed with a kiss, with Roberts sharing a snap of the pair kissing in what appeared to be a photo booth and wearing fancy dress.

"My Forever Valentine ♥️ ⚡️ysb ⚡️,"  she captioned the picture.

Commenting beneath the photo, Rita Wilson added three love heart emojis to the comment section.
