Katie Price and Peter Andre's son Junior Andre has ruled out becoming the latest celebrity offspring to do Love Island - but admits he "has to" do a different reality show.

The 18-year-old is dipping his toe into the music industry with single Only One, but has told Metro he won't be looking to move into the ITV2 dating show's villa any time soon.

Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre has previously said he would "leave the country" if any of his children went on Love Island - but it looks like he doesn't need to worry about Junior.

Asked whether he would do Love Island like Michael Owen's daughter Gemma or Danny Dyer's daughter Dani, he said: "I think it’s a good show but I just couldn’t see myself going on. It’s just not really my type of show."

However, Junior admitted to being tempted by I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! where his parents met as contestants in 2004, welcoming him just a year later before they eventually split in 2009. Price later returned to compete in another series in 2009.

Junior said: "I feel like eventually, if it’s still going in 10 years I’ll go on I’m A Celebrity. I have to, don’t I!"

The teen appeared in his parents' fly-on-the-wall reality series when they were still together and admitted that "up until a point my whole life was documented", but added that he doesn't watch the shows now unless an old clip pops up on TikTok.

He added: "Right now, I want to become established in music before I do anything else but in the future, I’m not opposed to reality as I grew up doing it."

Junior also shared the advice his super famous parents had given him - including to "stay humble" and "spread love and positivity".

Back in February, Peter Andre appeared on Good Morning Britain where he was asked how he would feel about any of his children - Junior and Princess who he shares with Price, and Amelia and Theo with wife Emily MacDonagh - going on Love Island.

He said: "When they turn 18, kids are going to do what they want. What I’ve said to them is, if you have a choice, I’d rather you present Love Island, although Maya Jama is doing a great job right now.

"But what I’m saying is that’s what I’ve always said to them, it’s better to try and be a presenter, you know, look at yourself in that way, rather than a contestant. Even though I’ve been a contestant on many shows."

"But no look if they really want to do something like that, I’ll just leave the country!" he added.
