Jurgen Klopp was in tears as he read out a selection of thank you letters from Liverpool FC supporters.

The German's incredible stint in charge of Reds came to an end on Sunday as the team defeated Wolves 2-0 at an emotionally charged Anfield. In his final days in charge, the outgoing boss sat down in his office to read thank you letters from fans across the world.

The letter said: "Dear Jurgen, I'm not claiming to be Liverpool's biggest fan, but I want you to know I've been there for a good portion of your unbelievable journey. However, from December 2022 until recently, I've been absent.

"My life was turned upside-down suddenly one day as I found myself in intensive care with pancreatitis. I thought I would never see my home or family again, never mind being able to go to a match. It was the scariest time of my life, I thought I was going to die.

"Six months of fighting later I'm now proud to say I'm home and my rehab has begun, and I'm able to get to Anfield. This isn't a sob story, but an important message to say that football is one small part of life."

Klopp was tearful as Molly paid tribute to how legacy the manager will leave is "more than football". The letter continued: "You taught us all the meaning of believing.

"To believe that if you fight hard enough, you can do it. You can bounce back from the hardest of times, from the impossible. That's what you have given to me Jurgen and thousands of others. The desire to believe and fight.

"With good people alongside you, we can always win. At the end of the storm is a golden sky. Thank you more than you will ever know."

Klopp was visibly emotional as he flicked through photographs sent by Molly. He added: "I read it, and I believe it, but when people say it... How can that be me?

"If Molly says it, that I had that impact on her life... yeah, that's good. Very good."

Fans took to the comments and said they were also in tears after the clip. Max said: "What a man he is, this is so heartwarming"

Sam added: "Damn, this got me." Rachael posted: "You guys need to genuinely quit making me cry after every 2 hours"

Dylan posted: "I'm not crying, you are."
