Jurgen Klopp's departure from Liverpool this summer also marks the end of Ulla Sandrock's time in Merseyside.

The German will manage his final game as the Reds boss against Wolves in the English Premier League, bringing to a close one of the most successful periods in Liverpool's history since the 1980s under Bob Paisley and Joe Fagan. Klopp's exit from Anfield is a heart-wrenching moment for fans worldwide, as he prepares to return to his native Germany with his wife, Ulla Sandrock.

The couple, who met at Oktoberfest in Munich, have been married since 2005 and have actively contributed to the community, with Ulla dedicating her time, effort, and resources to the local area. The children's author made a significant donation to the Formby Community Football Club during the 2020 lockdown, facilitating food and medicine deliveries when many were struggling. She consistently supported the community, even distributing £1,000 worth of food vouchers to staff at the Waitrose shop in Formby as a gesture of gratitude. The Liverpool Echo reported that the Liverpool manager's wife handed out 20 separate £50 vouchers to the staff present on the shop floor at the time.

Ulla played a crucial role in Klopp's extended tenure at Liverpool, with the 56-year-old admitting that her wish to stay in England led him to sign a contract extension in 2022.

Klopp, when announcing his contract extension with Liverpool until 2026, quipped about acting the role of a "good husband" by acquiescing to his wife's wishes. Reporting on Liverpool's X account, he stated: "There's something to announce. Like last time some will like it, some will not like it too much. If you don't like it, stop watching now.

"I stay for another two years... and only me. No, all my coaches will as well, which is the most important actually. Why? Is now the question. Because Ulla wants to stay and as a good husband what are you doing when your wife wants to stay? You are staying."

He further admitted: "The most important contract I signed in my life was the one with Ulla. And that's why it start again, because actually we sat at the kitchen table and Ulla said 'I can't see us leaving in 2024'. I said 'what? '. That's how it all started and when that started I thought 'let's have a think'."
