Just Stop Oil set off fire extinguisher metres away from Prince William

A Just Stop Oil supporter set off a fire extinguisher metres away from the Duke of Westminster’s wedding attended by the Prince of Wales and Princess Eugenie in Chester on Friday, 7 June.

The newly-wed couple had just left the cathedral when a protester set off orange smoke in the middle of a crowd.

Cheshire Constabulary said two women were arrested on suspicion of public order offences.

Just Stop Oil said: “Weddings are a time of coming together in celebration to make a commitment to the future. However, for countless millions around the world there is no future unless we come together to stop oil and gas.”
