Justin Bieber Decides To 'Cool Things Down' With Sofia Richie

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have reportedly split up, days after she gushed over their “special romance”.

Just one month after they jetted off to Mexico to celebrate her 18th birthday and “freedom” their romance has fizzled out.

A source told E! News: “It was super-hot and heavy, and because Justin doesn’t want a relationship right now, he wanted to cool things down. It wasn’t an intentional cool-off (it) just sort of happened on its own.”

Cool off? We all reasonably assumed that 22-year-old Justin and Sofia were a serious item after he sensationally quit Instagram because she got so much hate from his fans and he further shot down his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez when she waded in and defended Beliebers – who it seems are having the last laugh and are celebrating on Twitter.

The news also comes just days after Sofia opened up about her “special relationship” with Justin to Billboard.

She said: “We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles.”

But from his camp, at least, the relationship wasn’t “official” with the source adding: “They were never officially together, but more casual hanging out and having fun.”

However, Lionel Richie’s daughter had hoped they would eventually be “exclusive”.

The source said: “Besides hooking up it all started as really good friends so they have a great foundation. They have not discussed titles yet with each other, just taking it slow.

“Sofia would like to be exclusive and hopes it will lead into that shortly. She has always had something for Justin.”

We hope Sofia is OK and isn’t hurting over the failed romance.
