Juventus reveal transfer 'bonuses' attached to Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea deals

Juventus have confirmed fresh financial details about the transfers of Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea to Aston Villa.

The pair have both arrived at Villa Park from Juventus, with Douglas Luiz leaving the club to move to Turin in a separate deal. Villa confirmed the arrivals of Iling-Junior and Barrenechea in a statement on Monday.

It read: “Aston Villa is delighted to announce the double signing of Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus. Barrenechea started his career in his homeland of Argentina before moving to Europe with Swiss outfit Sion.

“With Juventus since 2020, the 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Frosinone. Iling-Junior, a London-born defender, started his career in the academy at Chelsea before joining Juventus in 2020.

“Comfortable operating anywhere on the left flank, the versatile 20-year-old has also been capped by England at Under-21 level. “The pair also bring with them UEFA Champions League experience having featured for the Italian club during the 2022/23 campaign.”

In confirming the departure of the two players, Juventus confirmed Iling-Junior’s transfer fee is €14m “payable in four financial years, in addition to variable bonuses up to a maximum of €3m”. The Serie A club also confirmed Barrenechea’s transfer fee is €8m “payable in four financial years, in addition to variable bonuses up to a maximum of €3m”.
