Kacey Musgraves Made One of Her Epic Clap Backs Into a T-Shirt: See Her 'Self Aware' Look

Fans are demanding the Grammy-winner make it official merch

Kacey Musgraves is putting the haters on blast.

On Friday, May 31, the country star shared a hilarious T-shirt branded with one of her infamous clap backs on Instagram. The photo shows a close-up of a black T-shirt — presumably being worn by Musgraves — that features the singer's hilariously self-deprecating reply to a rude comment written about her on X (formerly Twitter) in 2019.

"I liked your music but your personality seems s---ty," the original post reads, to which Musgraves, 35, replied, "It is."

"Stay self aware," she wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.

Fans are praising Musgraves for her humorous approach to a hate comment.

"Just when I thought I couldn't love you more," one wrote.

While some users are asking for the T-shirt to be made into official merch, others claim that it actually was at one point.

"This needs to be official merch," one fan wrote.

"It was," another responded with a laughing face emoji.

"She needs to bring it back then," the original commenter replied.

Another fan shared, "I have one of these and I treasure it with all my heart."

The shirt isn't currently available on Musgraves' official website.

This isn't the first time the country singer has made a statement with a T-shirt.

In February 2021, Texas Senator Ted Cruz took a trip with family to Cancún, Mexico amid devastating Winter Storm Uri, which caused millions of Texas residents go without electricity, water and heat. Musgraves was part of the public outcry in response to Cruz's travel plans, which many deemed tone deaf.

The singer jokingly posted on X, "*makes 'CRUZIN FOR A BRUZIN' tees * donates profits to Texans in need," and about an hour later replied, "Link coming soon. Don't RUN OFF anywhere..."

A few hours later, Musgraves, a Texas native, shared a link to her shop with the shirts for sale, writing, "Texas is cold, I can be cold" — a play on the lyrics from her hit song "Slow Burn."

The white ringer shirts were only available for a few days and all proceeds directly supported Texans as well as "homeless immigrants seeking shelter and food."

By the next morning, the Grammy-winner said she had already raised $50,000.
