Yahoo News Kaitlyn Dever, Maya Jama and Jack Lowden hit the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star party
On Wednesday evening, up-and-coming stars gathered at London’s The Standard hotel for the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star party , recognising the hottest emerging actors or actresses who have shown exceptional talent on the big screen.
The annual event comes ahead of the BAFTA Awards , with the 73rd ceremony set to take place February 2.
The celebration more specifically honored nominees for the EE Rising Star Award, which were announced earlier this month.
Awkwafina (for The Farewell), Jack Lowden (for Fighting With My Family), Kaitlyn Dever (for Booksmart), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (for Waves) and Micheal Ward (for Blue Story) make up the 2020 nominee list, with previous winners of the award including Kristen Stewart, Tom Hardy, James McAvoy and John Boyega.
In attendance also were Brit favourites Damson Idris, Luke Evans, Bohemian Rhapsody star Gwilym Lee, Edward Bluemel and Sex Education s’s Connor Swindells (who plays Adam Groff).
Guests drank Taittinger, Casa Migos and CÎROC, with beats blasted by DJ powerhouses Arielle Free, DJ Henri and Yinka Bokinni.
Booksmart actress Kaitlyn Dever attended the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star party, opting for a star-emblazoned jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and flared pants.
Dever posted a close-up shot of her beauty look for the evening on her Instagram, making a cat eye and shimmering eyeshadow the focus of her makeup.

Fellow Rising Star nominees Jack Lowden and Michael Ward were also in attendance.
Lowden who is known for his standout turns in Dunkirk, Mary Queen of Scots and most recently Fighting With My Family, sported a monochromatic grey ensemble, while Ward wore a full Prada look.
Ward, who starred in Top Boy, was also recently announced as one of the stars in Steve McQueen’s upcoming BBC and Amazon drama Small Axe.
Other notable arrivals included singer Anne-Marie, model and activist Munroe Bergdorf and Stormzy’s ex, Maya Jama.
TV and radio presenter Jama stood out from the pack with a long-sleeved red dress in an on-trend snakeskin print. For dramatic effect, the 25-year-old added a sleek, waist-length ponytail to complete her beauty look.
