Kangaroo Spotted on the Loose in Ontario
A kangaroo was hopping down a road in the city of Oshawa, south Ontario, on Friday morning, December 1, prompting searches by local police, who said they were unable to locate the animal.
This video of the kangaroo was posted by Paul Rellinger, who told Storyful he was driving his 13-year-old son to school when they spotted the marsupial near the corner of Winchester Road and Harmony Road.
“We thought it was a deer, but then saw it hopping along the side of the road,” said Rellinger.
Durham Regional Police said they received calls about the animal at 7:41 am but couldn’t find it after they arrived. They advised anyone who spots the kangaroo to call Team Chelsea, a local group that helps find missing pets.
It was not clear where the kangaroo originated, local media reported. Credit: Paul Rellinger via Storyful
