Yahoo News Karl and Susan are both left devastated
Things go from bad to worse for Karl when Rita calls and reveals that she's shutting down the MS trial due to the PR storm Karl has got himself into. Soon enough, Karl is blaming himself for misinterpreting the results, just as Finn wanted.
Susan is also left reeling and confides in Toadie about how Karl truly had her thinking this MS trial was going to eradicate her problems, but now it seems all hope is lost.
Meanwhile, urged on by Yashvi, Bea stands her ground with Finn as she's tired of hiding the truth from her family. Patrick insists she's right – it's time they came clean. He suggests they invite Elly to watch them elope next week.
Elsewhere, Toadie is relieved when Sonya comes home early from Daylesford, but is confronted to learn that she wants to throw herself into IVF, despite the fact they haven't got the DNA results back. Later, David appears with the DNA results. They're positive – Toadie is the father of Fake Dee's baby.
