Karolína Kurková's daughter might be following in her footsteps.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the 30th Annual amfAR Gala Cannes, the model, 40, opened up about her relationship with her three kids — daughter LunaGrace, 3, and sons Noah, 8, and Tobin, 14, whom she shares with husband Archie Drury, 53 — and noted that her toddler loves to watch her get ready.

"She loves it. I had two boys. The boys are like, 'Mom, you are wearing a lot of makeup, but Mom, what are you wearing?' But the girl, it's like, 'Wow.' She really appreciates [it]," Kurková says. "Boys are like, 'Okay, that's nice.' But the girl is really into it, so it's very special."

"My daughter is really in awe, she's like, the dress, the sparkles, the makeup, she watches when I get ready," the mom of three continues. "She really enjoys it."

Asked if she'd let her daughter model when she grows up, Kurková says she has some advice to pass along before LunaGrace gets into the industry.

"If my daughter wants to model, well, she's been watching me and she'll watch me more," she says. "I think she'll understand how the business works and how I work and how I do advice. I will give her, 'Be you,' and to anybody, I will give that advice."

"Always be you. Be true you. If you don't like certain things, communicate. Express yourself. 'I don't feel comfortable in this. Can I try something else?' And be passionate about it," Kurková shares. "If you're going to do it, give your hundred percent and really learn also about the industry."

The proud mom says she'd tell her daughter that it's important to know who the different photographers, stylists, magazines and designers are so that she can have references.

"What are the 1920s were like? What are the fifties, sixties? What are black and white photography? Because they're such different eras. So you can portray it as a model. It's important to portray those different eras and moments," Kurková notes.

"It's not just about being you, but it's also being able to act and perform. So educate yourself. Know your history."

Although Kurková may be a very famous supermodel, the mom of three says that her kids aren't aware of her star power.

"To them, I'm a mom. Mom," she tells PEOPLE. "As long as the food is on the table. Before in the car, I was making sure that my boys have mac and cheese tonight," Kurková says.

"So that's what I'm dealing with. I'm an assistant. I'm not a goddess. I'm an assistant to my children. But I love it."
