Watch: Kate Garraway gives update on husband’s condition
Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway has told how her husband still goes through some “worrying downs” as he remains in hospital amid his coronavirus battle.
Derek Draper, the TV star’s husband of 15 years, fell ill in March and has been in hospital since then.
He is currently in "a minimal state of consciousness" after being in a coma for weeks, although he is now coronavirus-free.
Speaking on GMB, Garraway said Draper is “pretty stable” right now but that things are still up and down.
She told co-host Susanna Reid: "The problem is, I feel like I'm just boring everyone to death really because it ends up with the same thing, which is stable but actually in between when I’m not talking to you there are big ups and big downs.
“Not big ups really, small improvements and worrying downs as well.”
"The last few days have been pretty stable so we are keeping everything crossed,” she added.
Garraway has two children with Draper, daughter Darcey, 14, and 11-year-old son Billy.
The family have only been able to have limited contact with Draper due to quarantine restrictions although have regularly seen him on FaceTime.

The TV star recently told how tough it was not being able to be with Draper on their wedding anniversary.
She said on GMB: “What an extraordinary thing. I won’t be able to see him today.
“I kind of hoped I would but it hasn’t worked out that way for the visit… But maybe it would be a bit strange anyway. So it’s a tough day.”
