TV presenter Kate Garraway, of Good Morning Britain, confessed that the thoughtful birthday presents from friends moved her to tears. She broadcasted images of the gifts she received from her co-host on GMB, Susanna Reid, and other members of the ITV morning news show's team, along with a present from her friend Tonia Buxton.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude in words, writing: "The next are three fabulous total surprises - >>> gorgeous chocolates and flowers ? ? ? ? ? ? from @susannareid100, a basket of goodies from the @gmb gang, a fabulous wrap dress literally left on my doorstep as she "thought I might need cheering up " by my mate @toniabuxton.

"And the last is the most personal and kind embroidered collar- you know how I love my crazy collars! - from @lisamejuto . Lisa is a makeup artist at @gmb and she's gorgeous to everyone and fab at her job and we've laughed our heads off together over the years.

"But today when she gave me this out of the blue at 4 in the morning I burst into tears. The hard work and effort - carefully hand sewing symbols that she knows mean so much - including Darcey, Bill and Derek's initials, shows so much painstaking love.

"The picture really doesn't do it justice. Am now lying in bed feeling like the luckiest person in the world to have so many good people around me."

Accompanying her moving message, Kate included Susanna's handwritten note and two photos of herself beaming at the lens while attired in the gifted clothes, reports the Express. Kate then took to social media to express her gratitude for the birthday gift she received from her parents a wheelbarrow for her garden, which she referred to as her "happy place".

She continued: "But have to leave the final one - and promise this is the last ! ! - to the people who were there on the 1st birthday - Mum and Dad. You know my garden is my #happyplace but have been feeling overwhelmed recently as it's got so out of control as have just been racing around trying to keep head above water.

"So they surprised me with this wheelbarrow saying that even though our garden isn't big "it helps when lugging and carrying " . Not everyone's first choice for a prezzie but I couldn't be happier ! ! ! ".

"Love you so much mum and dad - you always know the best way to get me out there and going forward. I can't wait to get my hands dirty this weekend and get going! Have a fab one everyone! ! ! ".

This marks Kate's first birthday since the passing of her beloved husband Derek, who died at the age of 56 after facing complications from Covid, which he first contracted in 2020.
