It's not confirmed yet if Kate Middleton is expected to attend Saturday's Trooping the Colour event marking King Charles' 75th birthday amid her ongoing health battle. Last year however the Princess of Wales made a historical participation.

Upon joining the Royal Family through marriage to Prince William, she has annually embarked on the decidedly regal journey from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, as part of the Monarch's birthday revelries.

Back in 2019, the mum of three became a concern for royal enthusiasts when she appeared somewhat under the weather after the traditional carriage procession alongside Queen Camilla, previously the Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince Harry, along with Meghan Markle.

Speculations were rife about her seemingly "off-colour" appearance, contrasting her typical vibrant and cheerful disposition. The Mirror revealed reports blaming the carriage ride's swaying movements for leaving Kate feeling slightly ill.

Known to have suffered motion sickness despite her 43-year tenure aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, the late Queen Elizabeth empathetically recommended to Kate the same pills she relied on, as we previously reported.

An insider from the royal household revealed at the time:"The truth is the Duchess of Cambridge gets very seasick and doesn't enjoy the rocking motion of carriages."

Adding: "Worrying she may be ill on such an important occasion as Trooping the Colour added to her stress."
