Royal watchers were charmed as Princess Kate graced the Trooping the Colour event last week (June 15).

The Princess of Wales captured hearts globally with her first public outing since the announcement of her cancer diagnosis in March. Adorned in an ensemble reminiscent of 'My Fair Lady', the 42-year-old exuded elegance, smiling warmly from her carriage en route to Buckingham Palace for the traditional Red Arrows flypast.

Yet, what took everyone by surprise was the apparent presence of actress "Miriam Margolyes" in Kate's carriage. The internet has been abuzz with laughter after a photo surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) showing the Princess acknowledging the crowd while journeying in her carriage.

However, due to a trick of the light, Prince Louis seemed to transform into the British-Australian actress, peering out of the window in a corner of the image.

Shane Reaction uploaded the photo with the caption: "Can't stop thinking about the reflection in this picture making it look like Miriam Margolyes has just woken up in the back of Kate Middleton's carriage.", reports the Mirror.

At the time of writing, the post had garnered over 17,000 likes and sparked a wave of hilarity online. Netizens were quick to jest, with some branding it the "scariest" sight they've witnessed.

One commenter quipped: "That's how you know it was a good night out."

Another chimed in with: "I can hear her now... 'sorry I just farted'."

A third user quipped: "This actually made me LOL and I never write LOL."

While a fourth follower suggested: "I would pay a lot to see the Netflix series based on this tweet."

The Duchess of Cambridge brought joy and warmth to us all as she graced the Buckingham Palace balcony after six months absence during the recent Trooping the Colour.

While Kate's radiant reappearance doesn't constitute a full recommencement of Royal obligations, it nevertheless gave the public a much-needed morale boost, reflecting the solidarity within the Royal family. The future queen dazzled in a repeat black and white number from Jenny Packham, complemented by Jimmy Choo heels, a coordinating Philip Treacy hat and a clutch from Mulberry.

Ahead of the event, Kate had shared a health update amid rumours that she might not be able to participate in the celebration. She expressed her gratitude for the public's support, saying: "I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times."

"I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting."

"But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months."
