Kate Middleton paid a touching tribute to the late Queen during her surprise cameo at last year's Eurovision final in Liverpool. The Princess of Wales delighted fans with her piano skills and radiant appearance in the opening minutes of the show.

The Princess subtly honoured the late monarch as she showcased her talent in an unexpected Eurovision appearance, donning a stunning blue Jenny Packham dress and jewellery that once belonged to the Queen.

Looking resplendent in blue, Kate wore her hair down in loose curls, completing her effortless look as she smiled from behind the piano. The 42-year-old mum of three is known for her impeccable fashion sense, often repeating outfits she has designed herself or had made for her children.

At the 2023 Eurovision final, she shone in a Royal blue gown and earrings previously worn by Queen Elizabeth II.

The brief clip was filmed in the Crimson Drawing Room of Windsor Castle, the former residence of her grandmother-in-law, reports the Mirror.

The late Queen's earrings sparkled under the spotlight as Kate played the piano, a personal tribute to the late monarch.

Fans were amazed when Kate, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment and chemotherapy, performed just minutes into the Eurovision programme. Her performance was part of a pre-recorded clip shown during the finale at the M&S Liverpool Arena.

Princess Kate dazzled viewers as she appeared alongside a host of stars in the opening film for Eurovision. The film highlighted 2022 winners Kalush Orchestra, who performed their hit "Stefania" from Kyiv's Maidan Nezalezhnosti metro station.

The UK also shone with appearances from British legends such as Princess Kate, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sam Ryder, Ms Banks, Ballet Black, Bolt Strings, and Joss Stone.

In a particularly enchanting moment, the Princess graced the film with a piano piece, crafted by Joe Price and Kojo Samuel, which she had recorded earlier.

Social media buzzed with excitement over her unexpected cameo, with one fan exclaiming on Twitter: "Sorry - was that Kate Middleton looking glorious playing the piano on@Eurovision? ".

Others were equally thrilled, with tweets like: "KATE MIDDLETON AND ANDRE LLOYD WEBBER IN THE STEFANIA INTRO? ? ? ? ALREADY CHAOS I'M LOVING IT."

"OMG a Kalush Orchestra and Sam Ryder mashup! ! ! ! AND KATE MIDDLETON PLAYING PIANO? ! WHAT? ? ? ".

This wasn't the first time Kate showcased her musical talent; she has been playing piano since childhood and found solace in it during the lockdowns.

Back in December 2021, she wowed the audience with a stunning piano performance at her Christmas carol concert, accompanying Tom Walker on his song For Those Who Can't Be Here at the Royal Carols: Together at Christmas event.
