Katherine Ryan says a prominent TV personality is 'a sexual predator'
Katherine Ryan has alleged that a prominent TV personality in the UK is a sexual predator and that the man's behaviour is an 'open secret'.
Speaking with Louis Theroux for his new Interviews series, Ryan said she believes the person in question is a 'perpetrator of sexual assault'.
Ryan, who has claimed to have confronted the person during a TV show taping, said: "It’s very dangerous for us to have this conversation.

"I’m happy to have it, but it’s a litigious minefield because lots of people have tried to nail this person down for their alleged crimes and this person has very good lawyers, so am I going to put my mortgage on the line by saying who this person is or entering into any conversations like that?"
She added that she was not a victim of the person: "It’s not really my story to tell. No one has perpetrated any sexual assault against me, but this person, I believe very strongly – many people believe very strongly – is an open secret, is a perpetrator of sexual assault."
Ryan also said her remarks about the person on the TV show were cut from the broadcast: "No, which is fine. I still got paid and I still did my job, but I did it in my way, which I thought was fair."
The comedian and TV host has previously discussed on her show Backstage with Katherine Ryan why she has not revealed the name of the man: "What am I supposed to do? It’s such a messy thing because I don’t have proof. What, am I not supposed to feed my children because of someone else?"
Louis Theroux Interviews Katherine Ryan airs tonight at 9pm on BBC Two.
