Katie Price details calling 999 after son Harvey complained of chest pains 'like needles'

Katie Price has revealed she called an ambulance for son Harvey after he complained of chest pains that felt “like needles”.

The 42-year-old mother of five was celebrating daughter Princess’s 13th birthday at home when 18-year-old Harvey – who has had a number of health complications since birth – was taken ill.

In a video on her YouTube channel, with Harvey lying on the sofa beside her, Price said: “I called an ambulance this morning because Harvey has complex needs anyway... He kept complaining of chest pains so I said ‘Well how does it feel?’ and he said it was ‘like needles’.

“I don't like when people waste ambulances’ time, but generally Harvey is at high-risk anyway because of coronavirus and high-risk because of obesity, the steroids he is on and his medical condition, so I did call 999.”

She added: “The ambulance came and put all the stuff on his chest – ECG, he had his blood done and temperature. His temperature was fine, ECG was fine, heart rate all came up fine.

“But they said when you push down [on the chest] and it hurts it can sometimes be a blood clot. So just for safety they took him to hospital and had chest X-rays and all of that, and they just think he's got a chest infection coming so that's it.”

She said: “Luckily he's home... Harvey is in full spirits as normal, he's fine, he's not experienced any chest pains now. We are home, safe and sound.”

Price revealed that Harvey had been “cheeky” to the paramedics, telling them they were “gorgeous”.

Harvey – whose father is footballer Dwight Yorke – was born partially blind and has been diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes obesity. He is also on the autistic spectrum, which makes it harder for him to communicate pain he is experiencing.

Price is also mother to son Junior, 14, and daughter Princess, 13, with first husband Peter Andre, as well as six-year-old Jett and five-year-old Bunny with third husband Kieran Hayler.

Princess received a new puppy for her 13th birthday, and was allowed by her parents to sign up for her own Instagram account.

In her first post, she posted a selfie with her dog and captioned the image: "I'm now 13 and finally allowed my own Instagram account! Yay."

She already has almost 59k followers.
