Katie Price reveals gruesome details of her nose job recovery

Katie Price has confessed her panic after she almost choked on the medical gauze after undergoing a nose job.

The 45-year-old reality TV star – who has undergone various cosmetic surgery procedures over the years – is currently recovering from rhinoplasty she had to repair what she felt was a "wonky" nose caused by surgery she had to her lips a few years ago.

Price revealed on her podcast The Katie Price Show that she had begun choking on the gauze used to pack her nose following the operation.

The model and mother-of-five told her sister Sophie Price: "They proper pack your nose with it and you have to leave that in until you have the stitches out.

"I'm in the car swallowing and I kept coughing thinking, 'What is stuck in my throat?'

"I looked in the mirror and it was a bit of string, and I thought 'Have I just swallowed something?' So I pulled it and it was the gauze coming out of the back of my throat!

"I was like, 'I'm choking, what can I do? I'm not allowed to take it out.'

"I grabbed it and pulled it and it looked like a cloth of snot. So then I took the other one out, thinking, 'Have I ruined my nose now?'

"I called the surgeon and he said you'll be alright, just don't blow your nose or try to wash it because it's all raw.

"So I can now breathe better, finally smell and taste food, and I can sleep without waking up with a dry mouth.

"But I've healed really well. I thought I'd have black eyes and everything."

Price explained why she had had the operation.

She said: "The real reason why I did it is because when I went to Turkey a couple of years ago and there was a new thing called 'lip lift'. It's like a bull horn lift, where they cut under your nose and it lifts your lips.

"But they bodged it up. The scar was bad and he nipped it. I wanted it re-done because I thought it made my nose wonky.

"So I actually had it broken. I've never had it broken before. I don't know what it looks like and I don't know what to expect. I just said, 'make my nose look pretty'. I don't know what it looks like, I don't know what to expect. We'll see when the mask comes off in a few days time."

Price has had multiple cosmetic procedures in the past including several breast enhancements, liposuction, eye and lip lifts, liposuction under her chin, and fat injected into her bottom.

She said recently: "I'm never happy. When we were in the makeup room, I looked in the mirror and thought ‘I am so ugly’.

"I now look in the mirror and think, ‘Argh, no more on the face’, because you get that surgery ‘look’ and I’ve got that.

"Not that I’m bothered, I’ve done that to myself but sometimes you have to pull back a bit."
