Katy Perry’s Most Iconic Met Gala Looks Through the Years: Bold Blue Tommy Hilfiger, Graffiti-adorned Jeremy Scott and More
Katy Perry has made some of the Met Gala’s boldest style statements since 2009. For 2018’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” theme, she dominated the red carpet in a striking Versace ensemble featuring massive angel wings.
A year later, the “American Idol” star continued to dazzle as a Moschino chandelier for “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” and the same night, she wowed the Big Apple by attending the after party dressed as a hamburger (yes, you read that right).

2017 Met Gala
Theme: “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-between”
Dress: She took red carpet dressing to the next level in a red Maison Margiela piece designed by John Galliano. 2018 Met Gala
Theme: “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”
Dress: Next, the singer delivered on the “Heavenly Bodies” theme by gracing the Met Gala as an angel, courtesy of Versace. She finished the look with a gold chained mini dress and matching thigh-high boots. Unlike the year before, she showed off her blonde pixie cut, which accentuated her drop earrings.

2019 Met Gala
Theme: “Camp: Notes on Fashion”
Dress: Perry pushed the boundaries with Scott yet again and it was lit. The duo collaborated to transform Perry into a real-life chandelier. She had on three layers of light-up candles, one of which looked like a crown at the top of her head. The base of the silhouette was a bejeweled minidress that allowed Perry to be brighter than ever.

Theme: “Camp: Notes on Fashion”
Dress: Dressing up as a chandelier wasn’t enough, Perry kept things going at the after party by changing into another noteworthy Moschino piece. This time, instead of lighting, she sported the ultimate hamburger costume. Of course, she didn’t stop there, Perry fully embraced the vibe and wore matching burger sneakers from her line.

2022 Met Gala
Theme: “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”
Dress: For Perry’s most recent Met Gala appearance, she went with Oscar de la Renta. It was an exquisitely draped sheer gown with a long, pleated bustle that took over the museum’s steps. To avoid overwhelming her outfit, the singer-songwriter slipped on transparent Aquazzura heeled sandals.
