Kelly Bensimon Says She's 'Diving Into This Weekend With A Smile' After Calling Off Wedding to Scott Litner

Bensimon's Instagram post comes one day before her planned June 29 nuptials to ex-fiancé Scott Litner

Kelly Bensimon is staying positive amid her broken engagement to Scott Litner.

The RHONY alum, 56, shared an Instagram post on Friday, June 28, the day before her would-be wedding to Scott Litner, which showed her cheerfully smiling in a pool.

Bensimon shared a bikini-clad photo wearing a white triangular shaped bikini top as she held her arms above her head for the pose.

“POV: Diving into this weekend with a smile…,” she captioned the photo.

The post comes after Bensimon called off her wedding to Litner on June 25. She gave PEOPLE some insight into her decision, saying that it ultimately came down to Litner refusing to sign a prenup.

"Ultimately, my decision is nobody’s business, but I understand that there is speculation and gossip, and I want to put an end to all of it," Bensimon said. "To be clear, he refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, and I refused to marry him. Full stop."

The real estate mogul later confirmed the news in an official statement, saying that the wedding was called off and that she was "disappointed by this turn of events."

"She was looking forward to an exciting new chapter in her life together with Scott when everything became clear to her late on Tuesday afternoon," the statement read.

Bensimon further explained her decision in the statement: "He thought that I would enter this union without legal protections in place, that I would leave everything to faith. But I’ve worked really, really, hard as a single mother and have always made smart decisions for myself and my family, and that will continue."

An insider close to Bensimon said that following the broken engagement, the reality star was taking time for herself to regroup during a difficult time. She also told Page Six that her “two daughters,” Teddy and Sea, are her “priority” and she’s been focusing on that.

Last weekend, the reality star took a trip with the two girls — whom she shares with her ex-husband Gilles Bensimon — to the Sandals Dunn's River resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The trio visited Red Lane Spa, sailed on a bamboo pontoon down the Martha Brae River and dined at the Jamaican restaurant Miss T's Kitchen. They also took photos along the beach in matching pink ensembles, with the mom of two opting for a hot pink with rose pink lace, Sea wearing a vibrant pink dress with a matching scarf, and Teddy rocking a ruffled bubblegum pink look.
