Broadcaster and model Kelly Brook has said she has ‘a nice, selfish life’ having never started a family.

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Brook is grateful for all she has, but has not ruled out being a parent ‘one day’.

The 39-year-old told the Daily Mail: “My family never put pressure on me to have a family: they see how happy I am in my life. I never dwell on the things I don't have, I'm just positive about the things I do have - which is a lot of free time. I get to spend all my money on myself, I live quite a nice, selfish life.”

She added: “I think it is whatever suits you, it’s not saying that I won’t ever have a family, one day I might.

“But at the moment I am just so busy - I work, I’m in a happy relationship and everything is going so well.”

Earlier this year, she told The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine: “I’ve sat down and asked myself: ‘Do I really want to have children? Is this something I really want to do?’ And I’ve realised that actually it’s not something I’ve always wanted and I’m fine with it.”

Brook, who lives with boyfriend Jeremy Parisi, began modelling at 16. She won over fans when she moved into TV presenting, with stints on MTV and Channel 4’s Big Breakfast. In 2005 she was crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World. She is well known for her bubbly personality and voluptuous figure, something she is rightfully proud of.

The broadcaster, who presents a radio show on Heart London, revealed: “I am a curvy size 12 in a dress. I like my curves, I don’t want to get a lot thinner than I am already, I’m more maintaining my size really.

“I am hitting 40 this year so I am quite happy with my body and my dress size and where I am at - you know I have to work at it, I have to eat well and exercise it doesn’t come naturally.”
