Kelly Clarkson addresses talk show toxic workplace allegations
Kelly Clarkson has addressed the allegations that there is a toxic workplace environment on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
A report by Rolling Stone published earlier this week contained allegations from staff members at the NBC show, with several claiming they were overworked and underpaid.
The report stated that one current and 10 former employees complained about the conditions of the set for the show, but reiterated their belief that the host was unaware of the “unhappiness” that was felt by the staff.

Clarkson, who had previously appeared as a judge on The Voice US, posted on her Instagram account to address the claims, writing: “In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve always led with my heart and what I believed to be right.
“I love my team at The Kelly Clarkson Show, and to find out that anyone is feeling unheard and or disrespected on this show is unacceptable,” she added.
In the report from Rolling Stone, one worker said: “NBC is protecting the show because it’s their new money maker, but Kelly has no clue how unhappy her staff is.” Another employee added: “I remember going up on the roof of the stage to cry, being like, ‘Oh, my gosh, what am I doing? Why am I putting myself through this?”
