Kelly Clarkson and ex-husband Brandon Blackstock reach settlement over management fees

Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock have agreed to dismiss the lawsuit she filed against him, and have instead reached a settlement.

In March, the American Idol's former husband was ordered to pay Kelly $2.6 million (£2.04 million) after it was revealed he charged her commissions on business deals that he was not properly licensed to make.

Brandon denied "each and every allegation" and asked the case to be dismissed. Kelly then filed more documents saying he owed her more money.

Now, the couple have dismissed the case. Their respective lawyers both filed a request to dismiss all the actions and petitions they had made in the case, according to documents obtained by The Blast.

Court documents note the pair came to a settlement but the amount hasn't been publicly disclosed.

The paperwork shows both parties requested that the lawsuit be dismissed "with prejudice", meaning neither party will be able to refile, and the dispute is over.

Kelly and Brandon married in 2013 but split in 2020, with their divorce finalised in 2022.

They share daughter River Rose, nine, and son Remington "Remy" Alexander, eight.
