Kelly Osbourne has lashed out at a TV executive who once told her she was "too fat for TV" as she recounted the harsh realities of growing up in the spotlight. The 39 year old daughter of Sharon and Solihull legend Ozzy Osbourne, shared the "insulting" episode on The Osbournes Podcast, detailing how the head of an agency had mocked her appearance and insisted she slim down to further her career in television.

"It was the most insulting f***ing thing," she confided to her audience. "When I was a kid, I got pulled into the head of the agency's office and he was putting golf balls into a cup and gave me a whole speech about how I was too fat for TV and I needed to lose weight, and that if I lost weight, I would look better."

The artist also recounted being lectured on the necessity of weight loss for her career success. Kelly refrained from naming the executive but mentioned the timeframe of the demeaning encounter, around the time she was cast in the Disney film Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in 2003.

"I was gonna play her best friend, and then it was right before Mom got diagnosed with cancer, so I quit," she disclosed. "And he was just saying, 'You're not a movie star, but you could be one if you lost weight.'".

Jack Osbourne, co-host and brother to Kelly, waded into the conversation branding her anecdote as the "most LA s**t ever.", reports the Mirror.

Kelly's weight has always been a focal point of attention, with the TV personality's recent slim-down invited much conjecture from her fans. Some guessed she'd resorted to using the weight loss drug Ozempic to get back in shape. But the former Dancing With The Stars contestant put an end to such speculation, assuring fans that she hadn't used any weight loss drugs in her quest to lose postnatal pounds.

Speaking to Extra, in April, Kelly debunked the Ozempic rumors but revealed that her mother Sharon had successfully utilised the drug. "I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic," she stated. "I did not take Ozempic. I don't know where that came from. My mom took Ozempic."

The celebrated singer lost a staggering 85lbs following the arrival of her son Sidney in 2022. But it wasn't mere good looks that triggered her weight loss journey; it was health factors. Having struggled with gestational diabetes while pregnant, she made a crucial decision to eliminate sugar and carbs from her diet to prevent the condition from developing into full-blown diabetes.

This committed switch led to her dramatic weight loss.
