Sir Ken Dodd's widow is being haunted by his ghost.

The comedy legend died in 2018 at the age of 90 and now his widow Lady Anne Dodd - whom he had been in a relationship with for 30 years before secretly marrying her just 48 hours before his death - has revealed that she keeps a portrait of him hanging on the wall and that she believes that he is the reason a door in her home closes of its own accord.

She told The Telegraph: "I always say ‘goodnight’ to the picture. The weirdest thing is a door...every so often it closes, and we have all heard it. You think ‘For goodness’ sake, it’s just air (or) someone has opened another door’, but it’s not...he’s around!"

Anne also admitted that she still dreams about her late husband, and begs him not to go away before she wakes up.

She said: "Often I dream about him, but it’s so real I say ‘Please don’t go away!"

Anne recently admitted that she broke a promise to Ken, in that he had begged her to "burn everything" after he had gone and she found it "easier" to agree but knew she would never be able to bring herself to do so.

Speaking on 'BBC Breakfast', she said: " The latter years of his life, he did say, 'You will burn everything when I'm gone' and I promised.

"It was easier to agree, you can't say, 'No I won't, he might have to burn them himself', he was a very private person. I never thought of burning them, I knew I wasn't going to, I knew I couldn't.

"Not because I thought they were valuable but I thought they were valuable because they were unique."
