Kentucky woman wins her second big lottery prize this year

Oct. 23 (UPI) -- A Kentucky woman who only occasionally buys scratch-off lottery tickets won a $50,000 prize just months after collecting a $10,000 prize.

The Winchester woman told Kentucky Lottery officials she was at Gasoline Alley in Winchester when she decided to buy a $50 Millionaire Club scratch-off ticket on a whim.

"I just thought I'd buy it, really," she told officials.

The player scratched off a $50,000 prize, the second-highest prize amount in the game.

The woman previously collected a $10,000 prize from a different scratch-off ticket in January.

The winner said her plans for her latest winnings are modest.

"We're not gonna pull up in a fancy car," she said. "We're just going to pay off some things."
