Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn reunite and recreate their big “Scandal” series finale moment

Olitz's love never dies.

Scandal alums Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn, who played the show's star-crossed couple Olivia and Fitz, reunited recently, and took the opportunity to recreate the iconic scene between their characters in the series finale.

Thankfully for fans of the onscreen couple, they captured the sweet "scene" on camera, the results of which Washington shared to her Instagram Wednesday.

In it, a dolled up Washington can be seen walking down a hall while the couple's theme music from the show — "The Light" by the Album Leaf — plays in the background. She stops at a door, which Goldwyn opens, and the two share a coy "Hi," before hugging and breaking character. "Hi 👋🏾 D.C #Olitz is ready for you," Washington captioned the video.

Fans will recall that in the series finale, the moment between the two happens outdoors, when the duo run into each other and each say a "hi" layered with meaning. It's implied from the scene that Fitz and Olivia end up together for good.

Costar Scott Foley, who famously rounded out the onscreen love triangle between Fitz, Olivia and Foley's character Jake, got in on the fun, too, hilariously commenting on Washington's post, "…I don't get it." (Presumably he is poking fun at the fact that clearly his character did not end up on the winning end of the love triangle.)

This isn't the only reunion the Scandal stars have had recently. Earlier this summer, Washington posted several snapshots with costars Goldwyn and Bellamy Young that featured the trio exchanging hugs and filling out picket signs in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike. "Volunteered with some fellow @sagaftra members that I LOVE today," Washington wrote at the time.

Scandal aired on ABC for seven seasons from 2012 to 2018.
