KFC giving away free chicken to restaurants who take '15 seconds' out of day

KFC is giving away free chicken - if you know how to dance. KFC, which has branches up and down the country including throughout Birmingham, is asking fans to upload a 10-15 second video of yourself dancing to its new “Believe” dance to Instagram or TikTok.

The dance must be based on the latest KFC advert that aired during the first Euros match, and you’ll need to tag KFC in your entry. KFC will select 75 winners, who will each win a £10 code to put toward their next meal.

The code can be used in KFC restaurants across the UK and must be shown to a cashier before paying for a meal. It cannot be redeemed on the KFC app or with delivery partners. Winners are randomly selected at the end of each week, up until 4pm on July 26, 2024.

“'Believe in Chicken' isn't just a tagline; it embodies the sentiment shared by everyone who touches KFC. Having one simple truth at the core of what you do makes you really powerful,” Mother Executive Creative Director Martin Rose said in a press release.

“You get to stand up and stand out. While our competitors may dabble in chicken (we have no beef with that), we're simply restoring chicken to its rightful place, the top.” Directed by Vedran Rupic through Business Club, the nearly two-minute hero spot uses a hypnotic mix of techno beats and classical Gregorian Chant that makes anyone want to jive to the music.

“The core idea coupled with a big musical component meant I had everything I needed to make it interesting. This is the type of job in one's life that has one thinking: Why am I not only doing jobs like this?” Rupic shared. KFC Marketing Director Kate Wall explains that chicken is the brand’s “core obsession,” and that this latest campaign pushes this mantra, celebrating it in “an irreverently witty way.”
