Kieran Culkin Shares Why He Asked Wife for More Kids at Emmy Awards: 'Been Asking for a While'
Culkin told reporters his wife Jazz Charton had previously told him "Maybe if you win the Emmy"
Kieran Culkin is opening up about his very public wish for another child.
Speaking at the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, the actor, 41, revealed why he asked his wife Jazz Charton for more kids while accepting the award for outstanding lead actor in a drama series.
“I've been asking for a while," Culkin told reporters after he had collected the award for his role in Succession — following wins at the Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards over the past eight days.
"Jazz said, ‘Maybe if you win the Emmy,' ” he continued. “I didn't bring it up for months, and then when I won the Globe, I said, ‘Do you remember what you said?’ And she was like, ‘What? No. What did I say? I don't remember this.’ ”
“So I told her, and then it all came back to her,” he continued. “So then she spent the whole week being nervous."
Asked what he would name his child, the actor said he “wouldn’t name it Emmy, or whatever other cute little thing.”

Despite this, Culkin did admit to having regrets about his very public comments at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, which came after he accepted the award and thanked his "beautiful wife," 35, "for sharing your life with me and for giving me two amazing kids."
“And Jazz, I want more," he continued as Charton laughed and applauded from her seat. "You said maybe, if I win!"
"Instead of just talking to her in private like a human, I just blasted her on stage, which was very rude," he told reporters after the event. "And that's it. That's the whole story. Anyway, the end.”
Culkin and Charton tied the knot in 2013 during a road trip in Iowa after first meeting at a bar in New York City in 2012. They then welcomed their first child, daughter Kinsey Sioux on Sept. 13, 2019 and their son Wilder Wolf on Aug. 17, 2021.
