World-famous pop-rock band The Killers put on a special treat for their audience in the O2 Arena last night (July 10). They paused their concert and played the end of England's Euros semi-final game against the Netherlands which England won 2-1 after a wonder goal from super sub striker Ollie Watkins.

To cap off the special moment when England found out we were going to the finals, the famous guitar riff of their most famous song Mr Brightside cracked through the cheers of fans. Further cheers were heard with a blast of red and white confetti being shot out over the audience's heads.

The big screen turned from the elated England team back to The Killers visuals with orange and red lights lighting up the stage. Lead singer Brandon Flowers was seen on the jumbotron dancing and singing with the backing of lead guitarist Dave Keuning keeping up the eternal riff.

Fans took to social media to post about the incredible special moment. X user Martin Kimber posted a video of the mad moment. He said: "Possibly the most electric moment of my life. When the Killers livestream the Euros right before England win and they hit us with Mr Brightside." The video shows limbs being thrown everywhere in every corner of the packed-out O2 Arena in North Greenwich.

The Killers also took to X to post about their moment which has been going viral on social media. Their post was captioned: "Tonight we played for England!" with some amazing photos of the concert. A 30 foot wide Declan Rice cheering the victory was seen with the band silhouetted against the screen. Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning are pictured dancing and strutting about the stage performing with streamers and confetti all round.

Another amazing video from X user Ned Donovan featured a view from right in the main crowd, right in the lower bit surrounded by the stands. Ned wrote: "The Killers stopped their show at the O2 tonight to show the final few minutes and whistle of the England victory before launching straight into Mr Brightside."

England won the game after conceding a venomous strike from the Netherlands' Xavi Simons in just the seventh minute. Harry Kane delivered the much-needed equaliser from the penalty spot soon after in the 18th minute following a controversial decision from the referee. From then on the game was a war of attrition, particularly in the second half when legs became tired and play slowed down.

That was until Gareth Southgate subbed on Ollie Watkins and Cole Palmer for Harry Kane and Phil Foden. It was these two substitutes who delivered the fantastic winning goal in the 91st minute of the game. Cole Palmer made a beautiful defence-splitting pass to Watkins in the box who held off Netherlands defender Stefan De Vrij and turned and slotted it home right in the far left-hand bottom corner, just beyond the fingertips of Dutch goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. An insane moment.

England will now face Spain in the final on Sunday 14 July at 8pm.

The Killers are not done just yet with London either. They are playing tonight (July 11) at the O2 Arena again from 6.30pm in a sold-out show. This is before they are due to perform in Madrid on July 13 and then they go back to the Americas to continue rocking the world.
