It’s time to blow the cobwebs off your G.C.S.E sewing machine as you can now buy the fabric used to make Villanelle’s pyjamas from Killing Eve.In the first episode of the show’s second series, which was released on Saturday on BBC iPlayer, the assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) sports a pair of bright blue, pop-art-printed pyjamas emblazoned with words such as“pow” and “crash”.While we’ve been lusting over the nightwear since watching the episode (and subsequently created a list of the best pop art-inspired pjs to buy), we’ve just learned you can now purchase the exact same fabric used to create the character’s attire.Altrincham-based wholesale fabric retailer Funkifabrics are the masterminds behind the bedtime look.Helen Kaitiff, sales director from Funkifrabrics, told The Independent that the company were unaware their fabric had been used in the programme until they saw the outfit on social media.“The BBC team ordered the fabric like a normal customer - very under the radar!” Neeson explained. On the website, the retailer states that the fabric – called Comic Bubble Blue and Silver Galaxy \- used to create the outfit is enhanced with a foil application to give it a glossy finish. The print is currently on sale for £26 per metre. The material is composed of 83 per cent polyester and 18 per cent lycra – perfect for those who need a bit of give while running away from MI5 agents at speed. When it comes to making the pyjamas, Kaitiff recommends ordering a little extra fabric for emergency size alterations.“Smaller off-cuts are also useful for covering buttons and other things if you want a fully patterned look,” the sales director added.> View this post on Instagram> > Find out what makes Villanelle smile like this on an all-new episode of KillingEve this Sunday, April 14 at 8pm on @bbcamerica.> > A post shared by Killing Eve (@killingeve) on Apr 10, 2019 at 4:25pm PDTViewers of the show have been keen to find out where they can recreate the character’s look ever since the first episode was released.“I am scouring the Internet tomorrow for similar fabric to this & making myself some sexy af Villanelle pyjamas. Another added: “Need me some of those #KillingEve pyjamas.”
Charlotte Mitchell, Killing Eve season two’s costume designer, recently told ELLE the inspiration behind the pyjamas, revealing they were custom-made for the programme.
"Initially, they were going to be Spider-Man pyjamas - that’s how it was written in the script,” Mitchell said.
“But we realised very quickly that Spider-Man is heavily branded and we didn’t think Marvel was going to allow us to use him.”

Celebrities including Rihanna, Irina Shayk, and Zendaya have long been wearing pyjamas as streetwear, with the likes of fashion designers Thakoon, Marc Jacobs and Gucci having shown loungewear on the runway in recent years.
