North Korea slams ‘silly’ Donald Trump for pulling out of Paris climate deal

The secretive dictatorship of North Korea has criticised ‘egotistical’ Donald Trump for pulling out of the Paris climate deal.

North Korea is part of the 2015 Paris accord, like all other nations on Earth bar Syria, Nicaragua and (now) the U.S.A.

A North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman said Trump’s decision was ‘the height of egoism’ – and said that it was an example of the United States, ‘seeking only their own well-being.’

The official told the state-run KCNA news agency, ‘Global warming is one of the gravest challenges that humankind is facing today.

‘The “America First Policy” advocated by Trump led to the withdrawal from the Paris Agreement’, the official said.

‘This is the height of egoism and moral vacuum seeking only their own well-being even at the cost of the entire planet and, at the same time, a short-sighted and silly decision ignorant of the fact that the protection of the global environment is in their own interests.’
