Kim Kardashian robbed at gunpoint by fake police in Paris

Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint in her hotel room in Paris, by armed robbers dressed as police officers, on Sunday night.

The reality TV star’s husband Kanye West cancelled his concert at the Meadows Festival in New York, midway through a performance of his single Heartless, after discovering the shocking news live on-stage.

A spokesperson said: “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.”

However, while Kim’s spokesperson initially said that there had been two gunmen involved in the incident, a police source later claimed that there were actually five attackers.

The frightening confrontation is believed to have happened at around 3am at a “luxury residence” in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, with “several million euros” worth of jewellery stolen in the robbery, according to reports.

On hearing the news, Kanye West – who was performing a gig almost 6,000 miles away in New York – informed the crowd that there had been an incident and he had to end the show immediately.

“I’m sorry, I have a family emergency, I have to stop the show,” he told fans midway through his song.

Organisers of the event later released a statement sharing further details, they tweeted: “Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set.

“We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close the inaugural Meadows Festival. Our thoughts are with West and his family.”

This is not the first security incident that Kim, 35, has encountered on her trip to Paris, where she has been attending Paris Fashion Week with her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian.

She filed a complaint after serial celebrity “prankster” Vitalii Sediuk lunged towards her and attempted to grab her last week.

Fortunately, her security team tackled him to the ground and apprehended him before he was able to commit the act.

Speaking out about why he chose to target Kim, the 27-year-old later explained that he wanted to make a “statement” to “encourage her and the rest of Kardashian clan to popularise natural beauty.”
