Last month, the model mom celebrated daughter Ming Lee on her 24th birthday, first sharing a photo strip of photo booth pictures of the mom and daughter when Ming was younger. The other pictures showed mom and daughter in more recent years, bearing an undeniable resemblance.

"Happy 24th birthday to my first born baby @mingleesimmons! 🎂🧁🤍 The love of my life, the one who made me a mom 1st!" she wrote.

"My beauty inside and out! My mini me number 1. My royal pain in my a$$!" Simmons teased. "I hope this year brings you everything you want and deserve! Mama loves you and i’m so proud of you beyond words !!!! 🎈🎊🎁❤️🥂."

In August, Simmons took all five of her kids to Japan, telling PEOPLE that she was clear with her children from the beginning that they were there to experience their culture. "It was rewarding to expose all my kids to Japan," the entrepreneur told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.

"I've traveled there so many times throughout my life for work or modeling. Japan is vibrant, electric and such a vibe shift! Watching them absorb their surroundings — the art, the food, the language, the fashion — was beyond rewarding."

"We're so blessed. They're already asking when we can go back!" she added.
