A tourist was left screaming "He's got my arm" as she was bitten by a horse belonging to the King's Guard in London.

The woman, who was standing next to a sign reading: "Beware horses may kick or bite, do not touch the reins, thank you," found herself on the receiving end of a bite from the military horse, reports the Mirror.

An eight-second clip of the incident has surfaced online showing the American visitor standing perilously close to the animal.

Yelling out "Ow, ow, ow, help me, he's got my arm," amidst the chaos, the duty-bound soldier on the horse remained engaged in conversation with another King's Guardsman on the other side of the magnificent horse.

A fellow tourist, spotted carrying a Hard Rock Cafe shopping bag, comes to her rescue, patting the horse gently on its nose resulting in it releasing grip.

Mercifully, the woman walked away unscathed.

She is not the first tourist to be caught out by the large animals that stand outside Horse Guards Parade in central London.

Another visitor got more than she bargained for in January when one of the King's horses nibbled at her coat.

In her attempt to pose for a snap beside the Household Cavalryman and his horse, her black coat got an unexpected yank by the curious beast.

Initially thought to pat the horse's nose as it sniffed curiously, she swiftly found herself attempting to escape as the horse clung onto her coat sleeve.

After a few challenging tugs, she extricated herself, most of her black puff jacket still intact, and hastened back to her group.
