‘Knives Out’ Team Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman Sign Two-Picture Deal With Warner Bros.
Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s company T-Street has signed a two-picture producing deal with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.
Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, who took over as the studio’s co-chairs and CEOs in 2022, orchestrated the deal. It marks the producers’ first collaboration with Warner Bros., having previously worked with Lionsgate on the box office hit “Knives Out,” Netflix on its sequel “Glass Onion,” Disney on “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and Focus Features on the neo-noir thriller “Brick.” It’s unclear if Johnson will direct either of the two films that he’ll be overseeing at Warner Bros.

“Mike and Pam’s renewed commitment to original storytelling and the theatrical experience make Warner Bros. Discovery an ideal place to help us bring the filmmakers we love to audiences around the world on a grand scale,” said Johnson and Bergman. “We’re thrilled to have them as partners.”
As producers, T-Street has recently backed first-time director Chloe Domont’s firey workplace drama “Fair Play” and Cord Jefferson’s Oscar-winning satire “American Fiction.” After each of those films premiered on the festival circuit, “Fair Play” debuted directly on Netflix while “American Fiction” was released by Amazon MGM in theaters and earned $22 million globally. On the TV side, the company has produced “Poker Face” with Natasha Lyonne and Netflix’s series “3 Body Problem.” T-Street is currently gearing up to make the third installment of “Knives Out.”
De Luca and Abdy previously ran MGM and left the studio after its sale to Amazon. The duo newly struck a pact for Tom Cruise to develop and produce original and franchise films at Warner Bros. They also set up Paul Thomas Anderson’s next movie, as well as “Alto Knights,” a mob movie with Robert De Niro.
“Rian and Ram are the masterminds of so many wildly entertaining films and are a brilliant creative duo who will be right at home among the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group family of storytellers who are working to bring more great movies to theatergoers globally,” said De Luca and Abdy. “As Warner Bros. Discovery continues to invest in the future of entertainment for audiences of all ages, we are beyond excited to have Rian and Ram here with us.”
T -Street is represented by CAA and attorney Stephen Clark.
