Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps stars Will Mellor and Ralf Little have delighted fans with a nostalgic reunion, sharing a snapshot that has set social media abuzz.

Will Mellor, who played Gaz Wilkinson, and Ralf Little, known as Jonny Keogh in the beloved BBC sitcom, came together for a moment reminiscent of the show's run from 2001 to 2011. The series, which was filmed close by in Runcorn, Cheshire, captured the lives of five friends navigating the ups and downs of young adulthood.

On Thursday (May 9), Will Mellor took to Instagram to post a selfie with Ralf Little outside a pub that holds a special place in the hearts of the show's fans. Accompanying the photo, he teased: "If you know, you know.."

The duo visited The Archer in Runcorn, the fictional local from the series, sparking excitement among their followers. Fans were quick to express their joy at seeing the pair reunited and shared a common sentiment in their responses.

Tiny Handley commented on Facebook: "I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks you should get that old crew together and do one more special f***** love all of you. Cheers" while Xela Lou confessed: "I miss this programme so much.", reports the Manchester Evening News.

Jo Carroll added: "Always rewatching it. Love love love it. Partner saw it live too. Bring it back! " mirroring Leanne Storey Wade's sentiments: "I love this show, still watch it now. Bring it back pleassssse".

Leanne Hays chimed in: "Still watch it now... still laugh just as much.. would love it to come back with new series".

They have kept their supporters up-to-date with their visits to this iconic spot, and memories from previous visits were recorded in a video uploaded by Will and Ralf in 2022, as they sat around reminiscing about the "good times" spent there.

The Mirror had unveiled earlier that despite the BBC's dismissal of the script for Two Pints, Will remains hopeful about its revival. The script penned by Susan Nixon titled 'Two Pints Last Orders', was highly appreciated by him.

Will offers an insight into Gaz's life still at the pub, owning three garages, aged 45, but nevertheless stuck in his old ways.

"It was Gaz still in the pub. He's got three garages now and he's 45, but he's still trying to talk to women the way he used to," Will explained.

While uncertainty looms over how the show would be received by a fresh set of audience, Will is confident that there still exists a generation of viewers who would thoroughly enjoy it.

His persistence corresponds with the news about the upcoming one-off special episode of Gavin and Stacey, which was confirmed recently this month. Friday witnessed an announcement that the co-creators James Corden and Ruth Jones had successfully finished writing the script for this special episode.

Gavin and Stacey, the much-loved TV series revolving around a couple sustaining a long-distance relationship, last aired a one-off festive episode in 2019 which concluded with a cliffhanger. James, also recognised as Smithy from the show, shared an Instagram post featuring an image of himself with fellow creator Ruth (known for portraying Nessa on the show) and a script for the 2024 finale named: "Gavin and Stacey: The finale."

James captioned this post with a delightful message confirming the news: "Some news... It's official! ! ! We have finished writing the last ever episode of Gavin and Stacey. See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James."

The BBC excitedly announced: "We'll have: A chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna, prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan, nine poppadoms and the last ever episode of Gavin and Stacey! ! ! Coming this Christmas Day on BBC One and Player."
