Oxford locals are already loving a new hybrid Korean grocery and juice store based in Headington, with the House of Seoul highlighting the best of South East Asian flavours.

The team behind the new restaurant has said they had fallen in love with Korean flavours and were keen to bring their unique take on the cuisine to the city.

The store officially opened on June 1 and is already a hit with locals.

A team representative said: "We've been thrilled with the positive response from local residents, who have expressed their excitement and appreciation for having access to these unique products.

"Many customers have shared their enthusiasm both in person and through social media, which has been incredibly encouraging.

"The local community are very pleased to see more variety in Headington which makes the area more vibrant and more of a destination.

"They are very glad to see an affordable proposition for lunch and dinner."

The team hopes to provide plenty of on-the-go options similar to the 7/11 convenience style stores found in countries like South Korea.

They added: "People are able to come in for instant ramen, which we will be prepared on site with a variety of toppings, with the store also aiming to provide affordable options with meal deals under £5, which is very affordable for students."

That is complemented by a separate brand in the store called Juicebay - a health bar offering Acai bowls a popular breakfast and snack made with frozen fruit puree, smoothies, juices and health shots.

The team said these were two new and very exciting concepts and brands - and that they would bring items to Headington that were not easy to find elsewhere.

A spokesperson added: "There has been lots of hype and I think it will be really good for Headington.

"I think it will bring a lot of trade and business to Headington.

"Korean food is a real trend and a lot of people are really amazed by the Korean 7/11 style stores."

The store is located at 2A Windmill Road in Headington, OX3 7BX, with a whole range of drinks, fresh ingredients, authentic snacks from Asia to Oxford - along with the ramen and juices made to order.

The store just off London Road will be handily located for many working in the area.
